This truly is one of a kind that is possibly still in one piece! It has wonderful old matte bisque like finish making it stand out from all the others. The artist has painted deep blue flowers with yellow centers amongst raised golden leaves, stems and vines on a mauve and light yellow background. He has painted delicate yellow flowers on gold brown stems and has mixed them with the blue flowers. Accenting the piece he has painted criss-cross designs in gold towards the turned out, scalloped top of the jar. The lid has golden leaves painted around the gold handle. This piece has a minor chip on the inside of the jar rim and the rim of the lid, but for 119 years old it is in wonderful condition. This is a must have, trust me, no one else will have one like it!!!!

Backstamp: T & V mark 4A ''Surprise'' pattern; patent date 4-19-1889

Measures: 6 ¾” T x 5 ½” W
