Vintage German Penny Toy - Tin Alligator

This small tin alligator is an old penny toy made in Germany. He has raised scales on his back which has nice litho and a serrated jaw to simulate sharp teeth. His head and front legs are one piece and they and his hind legs which are part of his tail, are hooked to his body so when he is pushed across the floor they wiggle about. The little tin wheels are painted red. It is marked Germany between his front legs behind his head.

It is in very good condition with almost no wear. It measures about 4 3/4" in length.
